A Simple Touch Can Make the Difference

Don’t forget to share the gift of human touch with us…this post is a great reminder of how much it can mean!

Many elderly people do go long stretches of time without ever being hugged, or even touched kindly. I remember years ago standing at a bus stop, there was a very old woman standing there with me. It was bitterly cold and her coat was open and scarf just hanging loose. I asked her if I could fix her up, and tears streamed down her face as I buttoned up her coat and wrapped the scarf around her neck…she had nobody to help her, and her arthritis was so bad that she couldn’t do it for herself. It made me cry too.

  • Words of Wisdom

In everyone’s life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.
